Denko Chojin Gridman (Gridman, surhomme électronique), le Kyodai Hero de 1993, fera son grand retour en automne sous la forme d’un reboot animé.

Dans la série originale, Naoto, Yuka et Ippei, trois amis fans de jeux vidéos, décident de créer leur propre héros mais ils vont vite se rendre compte qu’il est possédé par Gridman (doublé par Hikaru Midorikawa), un policier interdimensionnel dont la mission est d’arrêter Kahn Digifer, un programme maléfique. Naoto fusionnera avec Gridman pour l’aider dans sa mission et ainsi sauver le monde.

Denko Chojin Gridman (Gridman, electronic super-man), 1993’s Kyodai Hero, will come back this autumn as a rebooted animated series.

In the original series, Naoto, Yuka and Ippei, three friends fans of video games, decide to create their own hero but they will quickly notice that he is possessed by Gridman (voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa), an interdimmensionnal policeman whose mission is to stop Kahn Digifer, an evil program. Naoto will fuse with Gridman to help him in his mission and thus save the world.

L’année suivant, la Tsuburaya décide de collaborer avec DiC Entertainment pour adapter Gridman pour le marché américain et la série devient ainsi Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad.

C’est à Matthew Lawrence que l’on confie le rôle de Sam Collins qui deviendra Servo.

The following year, Tsuburaya decides to collaborate with DiC Entertainment to adapt Gridman for the american television and the series becomes Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad.

Matthew Lawrence portrays Sam Collins who will become Servo.

En 2015, la Tsuburaya a tenté un retour de Gridman avec un court métrage d’animation intitulé Gridman : Boys invent great hero (Des garçons inventent un grand héros).

In 2015, Tsuburaya attempted a come back of Gridman with an animated short movie intitled  Gridman : Boys invent great hero.
