Gundam Wing est l’une des rares séries Gundam à être arrivée en France et aux États-Unis (entre autres), où elle aura un fort succès, contrastant avec son pays d’origine, le Japon, où les audiences furent très modestes.

Dans cette série, si la Mobile Suit nommée Tallgeese est un peu la mère de tous les Méchas aperçus, le Wing Gundam Zero lui est le premier Gundam. Doté du ZERO Systeme, il permet à l’ordinateur de bord (et par extension la Mobile Suit) de presque directement se « connecter » avec le cerveau du pilote, pouvant, dans le cas d’un esprit trop réceptif à certains stimuli (guidé par la vengeance ou la colère par exemple), influencer  de manière non négligeable les faits et gestes du pilote, et amener à des situations très dangereuses.

In this series, if the Mobile Suit named Tallgeese is rather the mother of all sighted Mechas, the Wing Gundam Zero it is the first Gundam. Featuring the ZERO System, it allows the onboard computer (and by extension the Mobile Suit) to almost directly « connect » with the pilot’s brain, which, in the case of a spirit too receptive to certain stimuli (guided by revenge or anger, for example), can influence in no small way the actions of the pilot, and lead him to very dangerous situations.
